What is Shakespeare's England

Shakespeare’s England is a not-for-profit membership organisation and a public-private sector partnership.  Recognised by VisitEngland and VisitBritain as the official tourism body for the South Warwickshire region.

We are supported by the region’s key tourism businesses and local authorities, including Stratford District Council, Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council.

Tourism is one of the key drivers of economic growth to the South Warwickshire economy and its region. It generates a total business turnover to the area of £805 million annually and supports over 14,400 jobs.

Across Coventry & Warwickshire it generates a total business turnover over £1.15 billion to the local economy, supporting 30,000 jobs.

Our Mission Statement:

The main objective of Shakespeare's England is to put South Warwickshire on the map, actively promoting what the region has to offer and developing our identity for the area.

Our aspiration is to attract more business and leisure visitors – who stay longer, explore further and spend more, returning regularly and spreading the word about Warwickshire. We also aim to collaborate with local businesses, attractions and government bodies to deliver memorable visitor experiences.

Part of our work as the Tourist Board includes the production and implementation of the Destination Management Plan (DMP).

Shakespeare’s England holds quarterly Tourism Forums for the benefit of its members. These events include travel trade industry updates, training sessions and exclusive guests from key tourism organisations.

Darren Tosh, Marketing Manager, Shakespeare's England

Darren Tosh Operations and Marketing Director

With over 20 years experience in Marketing, including multiple positions within the tourism industry, Darren is responsible for the marketing strategy at Shakespeare's England in order to attract domestic and international visitors to the Districts of Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon, and increase the profile of the region.

Vicki Zamudio-Senghera Business Development Manager

As a seasoned tourism destination marketing and business development professional, Vicki has worked for over 20 years across many international markets, including the USA, India, Latin America, and the UK. She leads Shakespeare's England membership and travel trade areas, driving visitors to the region, promoting member's products to the global audience in the travel trade industry, and supporting and growing Shakespeare's England's member base. Vicki relocated from the USA 6 years ago, where she previously held the role of Director of Tourism for Simon Shopping Destinations based in Florida, providing international destination marketing and tourism support for 110 shopping destinations and brands across the USA. Vicki was raised in Colombia and California by Colombian-born parents and is also fluent in Spanish.
